After more than 24 hours of discussion, the Republicans in the Senate of the United States were closely adopted by the Law on Taxes and State Consumption President Donald Trump, known as “One Big Beautiful Bill”.
The decision was made thanks to the decisive voice of the Senate Vice President, JD Vance, after the vote finished with the result 50:50.
The law now goes to the recovery in the Representative Chamber, where it faces serious resistance – including within the Republicans themselves. The original version of the law has already passed through the lower home with a difference of just one voice.
The law provides for permanent tax reliefs that have been temporarily established during Trump’s first term, but also large cuts in social programs – such as food and health care subsidies for low income citizens. Critics, including Democrats and part of the Republican right, warn that this law could increase the USA annual $ 650 billion deficit.
Three Republicans – Susan Collins, Thom Tillis and Rand Paul – voted against the law, while Senator Lisa Murkowski ultimately supported the law after intense negotiations.
Donald Trump had previously asked the law to be adopted by 4. July, but he admitted to Tuesday that “be hard” to comply with that deadline. The additional problem of Trump is also an open opposition to Elon Men, which threatened the formation of the new political party and support the opponents of the Republicans who vote for the law.
The law, which is considered a key part of the Trump’s second presidential agenda, remains the subject of deep political divisions and its final chances for adoption are still uncertain.
