United Nations Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, sent a strong call to international corporations to stop all ties with Israel.
In its latest report, Albanese claims that numerous companies benefit and actively contribute to crimes such as illegal occupation, apartheids and genocide over Palestinians.
In the Report that will be presented to the UN Human Rights on Thursday, it is appointed by Google, Amazon, Microsoft, the Lockheed Martin, Caterpillar and HD Hyundai, which is a part of the “genocide economy”, in which is profit through Israeli military repression and occupation.
– Too many influential corporations remain inextricably financially related to Israeli apartheid and militarism, adding that the occupation over Palestinians has been converted into an ideal polygon for weapons and advanced technologies, with large profits for military and technological giant.
The report states that the technological giant enabled Israel Critical infrastructure for the Gaza war – including AI setup systems and monitoring. According to the claims, Palantir Technologies ensured the platform of artificial intelligence for automated adoption in real-time military decisions.
Albanese claims that 48 companies that are explicitly appointed in the report received official notices about the allegations. Fifteen responded, but the contents of their answers were not published.
It warns and that these companies are “just the tip of the iceberg,” stating that its office compiled the base with more than 1,000 subjects that could be involved.
It is also worrying that the Israeli exchange from the beginning of the war in Gaza recorded a growth of 179%, ie the increase in the market value of $ 157.9 billion.
Albanese invites UN Member States to introduce sanctions, arms embargo and interruption of trade relations with companies and executives that help or profit from occupation. It also requires the initiation of investigation and trial for involvement in international crimes.
