One of the biggest scandals in women’s football got a final epilogue! Czech coach Petr Vlachovski has been banned for life by UEFA after gruesome details were revealed.
The former coach of the Czech Republic and long-time coach of the Slovakian women’s national football team will no longer be allowed to lead any team in Europe, and UEFA has requested that the ban be applied globally.
According to the results of the investigation, between 2019 and 2023, Vlachovsky used a hidden camera that he kept in his backpack to secretly film female soccer players while they were changing and showering before and after training and matches.
A total of 15 players were filmed, including a minor soccer player of only 17 years. The scandal was discovered in 2023, when the coach was arrested, and then he was fined a symbolic compensation of 775 euros for the damage caused to the players. But the case got a much more serious epilogue two years later.
In May 2025, the criminal court found Vlachovski guilty of possession of child pornography found on his computer, for which she was sentenced to a one-year suspended prison sentence and a five-year ban from national football.
UEFA then reacted and ordered the Czech Football Association to permanently revoke his coaching license.
