“I was only an hour away today from making a decision to attack,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
He also stated that Iranian officials are looking for an agreement, but that, if it is not reached, a new American attack could follow in the coming days.
“So, I mean two or three days, maybe Friday, Saturday, Sunday, something like that, maybe early next week, in a limited time because we can’t let them have new nuclear weapons, he pointed out.
Speaking about Cuba, Trump said that he believes that a diplomatic agreement with the government in Havana is possible, and that he can help that country, regardless of whether there will be “regime change” or not.
“I think it can be done,” Trump told reporters at the White House when asked if he believed a diplomatic deal with Cuba was possible.
“Cuba is calling us. They need help. But Cuba is a failed state. Cuba needs help and we will do it,” he added.
The administration has called Cuba’s current communist government corrupt and incompetent, and is pushing for regime change.
