US President Donald Trump will hold a telephone conversation with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan on Saturday, an Arab official told Reuters.
The talks come as the chief of Pakistan’s powerful army traveled to Tehran to step up mediation efforts, while Trump abruptly canceled his son’s wedding and remained in Washington due to what he described as “government-related circumstances”, adding to speculation that the talks are at a sensitive stage.
