Ermin Mahmić, 21-year-old midfielder of the Czech Slovan from Liberec, has decided to play for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the future. This news was confirmed by the director of the national team, Emir Spahić.
Mahmic’s market value is estimated at 2.5 million euros, and he can cover several positions in midfield.
Born near Linz, Mahmić went through the youth schools of Vienna Rapid and LASK from Linz, and he arrived at Slovan last summer from Austrian Lafnitz. Although he played for the U-17 and U-21 national teams of Austria, he also played for the U-19 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. When it came time to choose the senior species, he decided for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
FIFA has already confirmed the change of his sports citizenship, thus removing all obstacles for his debut in the jersey of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
