Syrian Temporary President Ahmed Al-Sharaa will visit Ankara on Tuesday to talk to Turkish leaders about the renewal of his country and the controversial issue of Kurdish fighters near the boundary between the two countries.
Sharaa should arrive in the middle of the afternoon from Saudi Arabia, where he was in the first international visit since his rebel under the leadership of Islamist overthrown the long-standing Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad 8. December.
This move left Syria – which with Turkey divides the border with a long 900 kilometers – faced with a fragile transition involving numerous territorial and management challenges.
Working on maintaining balanced regional links after their trip to Saudi Arabia, Sharaa will now rely on the strategic relationship that has built with Ankara over the years.
Visit Tuesday, which comes “at the invitation of the president of the recep tayyipa Erdogan”, Sharaa will be a guest in the presidential palace, Monday from the Turkish Cervical Office was announced.
