The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy said that the draft law on professional rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities referred to a public hearing has been adopted at the FBiH Parliament Peoplement.
They clarify that the new law brings significant changes in order to increase the employment of persons with disabilities in the open labor market, their greater equality, as well as the assurance of the stability of the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment Persons with Disabilities.
They point out that one of the key changes relate to additional stimulations for employers who employ persons with disabilities above the prescribed quotas, the new year of business will be exempted from paying a special employment contribution for people with disabilities.
Also, the gradual increase in mandatory employment quotas, so that the obligation to employ persons with disabilities will increase on an annual basis. Currently, this obligation refers to employers with 17 and more employees, and over four years it will be related to those who have at least 20 employees.
The Ministry states that the novelty is that the FBiH Tax Administration will take responsibility for controlling the calculation and collection of special contributions for the employment of persons with disabilities, which strengthens the oversight and higher financial stability of the system.
In addition, the law is precisely regulated by professional rehabilitation, establishment and business companies for employment of persons with disabilities, including the transparency of the Fund’s funds, the salary and funding for the employment program and the development of companies.
In the Ministry after the public hearing, and before the final adoption of the law, the proposals and suggestions of the stakeholders expect.
