On initiative High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH)in all first and second instance courts across the country, an activity called “Court Settlement Week”which will be implemented in the period from 3 to 14 November 2025.
As part of this activity, he also participates Municipal court in Tešnjewhich invites all interested parties to approach the court in the specified period and try to resolve their case court settlement.
The goal of “Court Settlement Week” is settling as many court cases as possible peacefullythrough a shorter, more economical and efficient procedure, which is achieved satisfaction of the parties and faster termination of court disputes.
Parties who wish to resolve their case through a court settlement can do so in the following ways:
by submission written proposal for concluding a court settlement, independently or through a proxy;
by contacting the judge who handles the case for the purpose of agreeing on the date of the hearing to conclude the settlement;
joint access court with the other party in the period from November 3 to 14.
Advantages of court settlement are multiple:
a shorter and more effective procedure – the dispute ends without a second instance procedure, and the settlement has the force of an executive document;
cheaper procedure – facilitations in the payment of court fees and reduction of costs are achieved;
simpler procedure – long-term litigation, presentation of evidence and postponement of hearings are avoided;
security and trust – the parties are obliged to act according to the settlement as according to a final judgment, which ensures the execution of the agreement.
The Municipal Court in Tešnje points out that a court settlement is a special advantage preservation of business and interpersonal relationsbecause the parties themselves determine the way to resolve the dispute and jointly decide on the outcome.
