The Tešanj Municipal Council unanimously adopted it yesterday Spatial plan of the Municipality of Tešanj for the period 2025–2045which defined the key directions of spatial, economic and infrastructural development of the municipality in the next 20 years.
The new Spatial Plan brings a series of significant development projects and strategic solutions that will have a long-term impact on the development of the local community.
One of the most important novelties is integration Corridor 5C in the development plans of the municipality, especially when it comes to the development of settlements, business zones and infrastructure in the Medakovo interchange area and along the highway route.
The plan also foresees new development areas for settlements that were restricted for years due to the protection of the route of Corridor 5C, among which Karadaglije, Jablanica, Trepče, Medakovo, Novo Selo and Kraševo.
The spatial plan increased the area intended for residential construction by approx 25,000 dunumswhile additional ones are planned for the development of new business zones 125 hectares land. For the sake of comparison, in the previous six decades, Tešanj developed a total of 117 hectares of business zones, which means that the new plan envisages their increase by more than 100 percent.
Among the important infrastructural projects is the reservation of design space Jelah bypass on the left bank of the Usora river.
Special attention is also drawn to the formation Crni Vrh protected areaarea approx 12,000 dunumswhich represents the first protected area in the Tešanj municipality. The plan also confirms the commitment that in the coming period there will be no construction of dams on the Usora River, nor the opening of new quarries and mines.
In addition, the Spatial Plan envisages the possibility of construction sports airporttwo open shooting ranges, as well as mountain lodge on Kahvica with accompanying sports and tourist facilities.
The plan also leaves the possibility of further development of the landfill after 2030, if planning solutions are not implemented at the federal level by then.
As it was pointed out, the creation of the Spatial Plan involved around 100 experts of various profileswith the participation of numerous institutions. During the preparation, more than 80 strategies, studies, plans and reportswhile in the public discussion the draft plan was received 630 proposals, comments and suggestions.
The adoption of the Spatial Plan 2025–2045 created the prerequisites for the planned development of the municipality of Tešanj in the coming decades, and the next step will be the realization of planned projects and development activities.
