At the end of today’s race, Elvedina took 32nd place (1:07.77) and narrowly missed points, although she had the sixth time in the middle of the course, and the fastest time in the first part of the season.
Elvedina even had one of the fastest exits in the middle of the course. She entered the third sector with 28 hundredths of a second behind and had time for the podium, but in the lower part of the track she lost speed and a full second due to the falling snow, which slowed her down.
American veteran and world skiing legend Lindsey Vonn won in 1:06.24.
Kajsa Vickhoff Lie from Norway finished in second place with a time of 1:06.61, while Jacqueline Wiles from the USA completed the podium with a time of 1:06.72.
