The largest retail chains of pharmacies in Bosnia and Herzegovina earned over 25 million marks last year with record revenues of more than 400 million KM, according to financial reports from business registers.
The pharmacy chain “Ibn Sina” from Tuzla with 228 employees had a turnover of over 68 million marks last year, from which they made a profit of over nine million marks, making them the absolute leaders in terms of profit.
In percentage terms, compared to 2024, their income grew by 18 percent, and profit by 38.6 percent. A simple calculation shows that each worker brought them an average of 39,608 marks in earnings.
“Moja apoteka” also had excellent results, with over 100 retail stores.
Revenues grew by 12.4 percent and amounted to 89.26 million KM, and a profit of 8.4 million KM was realized, which is almost a quarter more than in 2024, when it amounted to 6.8 million marks.
Crvena apoteka from Mrkonjić Grad reported a profit of 4.3 million marks made from 54.7 million KM in revenue and with the help of 188 employees.
As in the previous two cases, both income and profit have a growing trend.
“B Pharm” pharmacies from Novi Grad maintained their profit at the level of 2024 and it amounts to 2.27 million marks with a turnover of over 60 million marks, which is 11 million KM higher than the year before last.
During 2025, “Expera pharmacy” from Bijeljina had a daily turnover of 116,492 KM. When they drew the line, they earned 42.5 million KM, 2.5 million more than in 2024, and after paying all taxes and obligations, the owners were left with a net profit of 1.71 million KM.
It is interesting to note that the state-owned “Apoteke Sarajevo” achieved the highest turnover of over 100 million KM, but despite this, they had a very low profit of only 171,077 KM, it says. Capital.
