Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir released a video showing him mocking detained Gaza flotilla activists as dozens of them kneel on the floor with their hands tied in the port of Ashdod.
At the beginning of the video, one of the activists shouts “Free Palestine”, after which the police knock him to the ground and drag him away while Ben Gvir walks around the facility.
As dozens of activists kneel in handcuffs, Ben Gvir waves a large Israeli flag and says in Hebrew: “Welcome to Israel, we are the bosses.”

In other parts of the video, activists are seen on the deck of the ship while the Israeli national anthem is played over the loudspeaker.
At one point, Ben Gvir argues with a man, and looking at another activist being restrained by the police, he says: “That’s the way it should be.”
The activists were detained at the port of Ashdod after Israel’s foreign ministry said the latest flotilla to try to break the Gaza naval blockade had been “terminated” and that the participants had been flown to Israel.
On the flotilla, which set sail from Turkey last week, were more than 400 activists from different countries, including the sister of the Irish president Catherine Connolly.
Israel claims the flotilla was a “PR stunt in the service of Hamas”.
