Market inspection of Republika Srpska in the last 20 days on the territory of BiH. of the entity imposed fines in the amount of one million and 750 thousand KM based on non-compliance with prescribed margins and other irregularities, said Vaso Janković, chief market inspector.
“The Republican Market Inspection carried out 132 inspections of gas stations throughout the territory of the Republic of Srpska, of which in 57 cases it was determined that they did not comply with the prescribed margins. On this basis, fines in the amount of 855,000 convertible marks were imposed. Due to established irregularities such as the formation, highlighting of prices, incorrect keeping of trade books and records, fines in the amount of 23,200 convertible marks were issued,” he said. As he stated, with the state of the market and the movement of prices, controls were also carried out in commercial establishments for the sale of food products, as well as in large retail chains and in smaller stores, which do both retail and wholesale.
“The inspection carried out 114 inspections, and in 58 inspections it was determined that traders did not comply with the prescribed margin, and on that basis fines in the amount of 640,000 convertible marks were imposed. Also, as part of those inspections, due to other irregularities found, fines in the amount of 14,000 convertible marks were imposed,” says Janković.
Janković also presented the information that the inspectors within the local self-government units carried out controls in accordance with the decision, and in 28 cases they found irregularities and issued preliminary orders in the amount of 187,000 convertible marks, and due to other irregularities they issued preliminary orders in the amount of 14,100 convertible marks.
“In total, for gasoline stations and retail and wholesale trade centers and independent entrepreneurs, pre-trial orders of about 1,750,000 convertible marks were issued in the previous period,” emphasized Janković.
Janković emphasized that 45 republican and around 70 local inspectors are working in the field throughout the territory of Republika Srpska, who, as he says, have managed to respond to the challenges of the current situation.
“This is an extraordinary situation and it is not the first time, but we tried to cover all subjects with this number of inspectors. I think this is a sample that showed the picture of the current situation. And we will continuously monitor global trends in the market,” says Janković.
He emphasized that the government’s Decision on the limitation of margins is in force until June 1 and that those entities that have been audited are not exempt from re-inspection, reports Bosnia Info.
