The Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton adopted the rebalance of the Financial Plan of the Health Insurance Institute of ZDK (ZZOZDK) for 2025, as well as the proposal of the Financial Plan of ZDO ZDK for 2026, with the Decision on the execution of the Financial Plan of ZDO ZDK for 2026, which should amount to 337,000,000 KM.
Prime Minister Nezir Pivic said after the session that the financial plan of this institution for the next year is higher by 18,500,000 KM or 5.8 percent than the adopted plan for 2025, while today’s rebalancing adopted the budget plan for the current year increased by 11,000,000 KM or 3.45 percent and amounts to 330,200,000 KM.
– With the plan for the next year, the financial plan of ZZOZDK was increased by the following items: primary health care by 4,413,581 KM, consultative-specialist health care by 1,533,590 KM and hospital health care by 4,425,350 KM – a total of 10,372,350 KM.
In addition to the funds for the contracts, the funds for the following items were increased: medicines from the essential list for 500,000 KM, orthopedic devices and aids for 1,500,000 KM, treatment outside the canton for 700,000 KM, co-financing of tertiary health care in ZDK for 700,000 KM, spa treatment for 950,000 KM, magnetic resonance imaging for the Zenica Cantonal Hospital (KBZ) for 2,000,000 KM, CT diagnostics 300,000 KM, reimbursement of sick leave 1,200,000 KM, medicines by special approval 700,000 KM, magnetic resonance imaging by public invitation 1,500,000 KM…
As you can see, the determination of ZZOZDK for the next year is to cancel the waiting lists, which represent a serious problem that has not been solved so far – said Prime Minister Pivić.
He announced that he will work according to the principle that KBZ or Tešanj General Hospital (OBT) handle priority services, as much as their capacities allow, and if necessary, waiting lists will also be handled by providing services in other institutions, by means of a public call.
– I am sure that it will be resolved in the coming period, which was the commitment of this government from the beginning, but the previous leadership of ZZOZDK did not resolve the issue in an adequate way. It is a financial plan that is primarily aimed at our citizens, for patients and to provide health services to our citizens in the best way – said Prime Minister Pivić.
