Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Nezir Pivić, Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Goran Bulajić and Minister of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees Antonio Šimunović visited today the house of the Ljubas family in the street “Kamberovića čikma” in Zenica, which was completely destroyed by fire. Fortunately, there were no human casualties.
Prime Minister Pivić said that solidarity and compassion are characteristics of our people and that in difficult times we need to support each other and that the Government is determined to be available to all citizens at all times.
– We are here to support the Ljubas family and send a message that they are not alone in these difficult times. The Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees will allocate funds according to possibilities to help rebuild the house. I am glad that the neighbors came to the rescue and that the wider community got involved to repair the damage – said Prime Minister Pivić.
Deputy Chairman Bulajić said that he was taken aback by the scale of the damage to the building, but that he was glad that the neighbors came to help, especially businessman Jasmin Horić and the employees of his company “Strong Auto”. He added that Cantonal institutions will also provide support for the renovation of the residential building.
The Minister of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees, Antonio Šimunović, said that this ministry tasked the competent center for social work to collect the necessary documentation in order to approve financial resources, and the Ljubas family could move into the renovated house by Christmas.
