The European Union is expected to impose sanctions on Abdelrahim Dagal, the deputy commander of the Rapid Support Force (RSF) paramilitary group in Sudan, which has been accused of human rights abuses, three European diplomats said on Wednesday.
EU foreign ministers are expected to approve the sanctions at a meeting in Brussels on Thursday, diplomats said.
The EU sanctions consist of a ban on travel to the Union and confiscation of any assets located there, Reuters reports.
