The first finalist of the African Cup of Nations in football is the national team of Senegal.
The Senegalese beat Egypt 1:0 in the first semi-final in Tangier.
The deciding goal was scored by Sadio Mane in the 78th minute with a shot from the edge of the penalty area.
It was his second goal at the championship in Morocco, and his 11th overall at the African championships.
Senegal reached its fourth Cup of Nations final, and so far it has celebrated only once, in 2021, when it defeated Egypt in the final match with a better performance of penalties.
In the second semi-final, hosts Morocco and Nigeria meet tonight.
