The European Commission is ready to present a legal text on the use of frozen Russian assets due to its war in Ukraine, its President Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday.
Speaking during her address to the European Parliament, she also welcomed efforts led by US President Donald Trump to end the war, adding that a peace deal should provide real security for Ukraine and Europe.
– If today we legitimize and formalize the undermining of borders, we open the door to more wars tomorrow and we cannot allow that to happen – said the head of the EU executive, reports Reuters.
