On Monday, the Tešanj local team of the “Furaj mir” program opened the “MiRazličiti” exhibition, which through
personal stories, historical accounts and works of art explore how diversity can be a strength
community, not its division.
Starting from the specific context of Tešnj, a city where different people have met throughout history
identities, religions and customs, the exhibition reminds that coexistence is not a given, but a process that is built through
encounters, understanding and everyday choices. Despite the challenges, Tešanj today stands as an example
togetherness in which differences do not separate, but enrich society.
Visitors have the opportunity to see historical depictions of life in diversity, personal stories
people from the local community, works of young artists, but also creative works of children who are through
workshops explored what happiness and peace mean to them. The exhibition thus connects generations and
perspectives, offering space for reflection, but also for conversation.
“I’m thrilled with how you’ve put this all together and I love the concept and how you’ve included the variety
materials: it gives a strong message of peace,” said visitor Samra Samardžić.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Tešanj, Suad Huskić, emphasized the importance of youth engagement: “We are proud that
we have young people maturing in this way. They managed to animate the community, learn about it and
present it to all of us. I believe that they will continue to carry these values in
of the future.” The chief emphasized that peace does not happen by chance, and that Tešanj is actively working on
to its construction.
For the members of the team, the exhibition is also a personal experience of learning and reflecting on the community in which they live.
“When diversity is seen as an asset and not an obstacle, then a peace that connects is built
people and strengthens the community”, said Sajra Mehičić, a member of the team from Tešnj.
The “MiRazličiti” exhibition will be open to the public from April 13 to April 30, 2026, every weekday
daily from 09:00 to 17:00. Entrance is free.
The exhibition is part of the “Furaj mir” program, which brings together young people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of
promoting peace through art and creative expression.
The “Furaj mir” program is implemented as part of the “Peace Stories” project, with the support of the Fund for
peacebuilding of the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN Peacebuilding Fund), and they implement it
