In the Municipality of Tešanj, a meeting was held with representatives of the Tešanj Police Station, Veterinary Stations from Tešanj Municipality and Representatives of the dog asylum regarding the problem of Lutalica dogs in the municipality of Tešanj.
In the previous months, a significant number of reports of citizens relating to the attacks of Lutalica, with material damage, especially through the massacre of small tooth livestock, and several cases have been attacked on citizens.
In this regard, the conclusions were adopted that all competent services, including PS Tešanj, Hunting Society and Municipal Services, intensify activities in order to solve the problem of wanderers, in accordance with applicable laws and procedures.
From the municipality of Tešanj, they especially appeal to dog owners:
- To enforce their obligations in accordance with the Law on Animal Protection and Welfare, and other relevant regulations;
- To register their dogs, micročipuju and keep them under constant supervision, in controlled conditions;
- Irresponsible holding of dogs and release without supervision is a violation of legal provisions, which is why the competent municipal inspection will be enhanced and, if needed, to explain the sanctions provided by law;
In severe cases, the Tešanj Police Station will be included, which will act within its competencies.
Child-tooth livestock owners (sheep, goats, etc.):
- They are obliged to hold cattle in properly constructed and fenced tores,
- The owner of the domestic animal is responsible for each individual animal marked in accordance with the Ordinance on mandatory labeling and enrollment in the unique register of sheep, goat and pig and conducting records,
- Livestock must be under constant supervision of the owner or responsible person;
- Improper livestock keeping makes it difficult for the intervention of the competent services and can lead to material damage and risk safety.
