The hygienic-epidemiological situation in Zenica-Doboj Canton, when it comes to seasonal flu and respiratory infections, remains within the multi-year average, confirms Dr. Alice Kozica, Chief of Epidemiology and Hygiene Institute of Health and Food Safety Zenica.
However, the number of patients from acute respiratory infections has been growing for the fifth in a row, since the end of January. According to the last report, in the ninth week 2025. 1,798 new cases of acute respiratory infections across the cantons were registered.
The largest number was recorded in Tešnj, where the 571 case reported, thus which this municipality is in front of the ZDK. Follow Zenica with 500, high with 318 and Maglaj with 266 patients.
