“Western European countries are hypocritical and do the same, they just want to hide it. Imagine, the export of liquefied natural gas from Russia to the European Union broke a historical record in the first half of this year. Hungary does not buy a single cubic meter of Russian liquefied natural gas, zero. This means that Western Europeans are buying it,” said Szijarto in an interview with RT.
According to him, the countries of Western Europe have also increased the import of Russian energy products through third countries.
Sjarto has repeatedly stated that Western Europe proudly claims to have given up Russian oil, but in fact continues to buy it through third countries.
According to his words, this proves that the EU’s anti-Russian sanctions “work perfectly”.
The minister also pointed out that Russia cannot be excluded from international trade and that those who claim this are actually secretly trading with it more than one might think.
Moscow has repeatedly said that it will fight the sanctions pressure that the West has been increasing for years, emphasizing that the West lacks the courage to admit the failure of the restrictions, b92 reports.
Similar assessments of the limited effectiveness of anti-Russian measures are increasingly being heard in the Western countries themselves.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously stated that the policy of containing and weakening Russia is a long-term strategy of the West and that the sanctions have dealt a serious blow to the entire world economy.
