The largest bridge on Corridor 5C will now have a completely new look during the night. On the Počitelj – Bijača section, the works on the installation of decorative lighting on the Hercegovina Bridge were successfully completed, giving this impressive building a new visual identity.

According to the information of JP Highways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after the completion of the works, the temporary traffic signals were removed and the traffic in both directions takes place without restrictions.

Decorative lighting emphasizes the elegant structure of the bridge, which stands out clearly above the Neretva canyon at night.
Autocesta FBiH previously pointed out that the goal of the project is to combine modern technology with the natural environment and to make Most Herzegovina an even more recognizable symbol of this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is expected that the illumination will further contribute to the tourist attractiveness of the area, especially in the evening hours, when the bridge comes to its full expression.
The largest bridge on Corridor 5C
The Hercegovina Bridge is located on the Počitelj – Zvirovići subdivision and is the largest and longest bridge on Corridor 5C. It is 945 meters long, while the road is at a height of about 100 meters above the ground.
The bridge spans the Neretva River, the M-17 highway and the Sarajevo-Ploče railway, in the immediate vicinity of the historic Počitelj.
It was designed as a continuous prestressed bridge with a main span of 147 meters. Its construction was carried out using the method of free cantilever construction, and due to its dimensions and position, it is considered one of the most impressive buildings on the entire Corridor 5C.
