In the evening derby of the Champions League, Manchester City beat Borussia Dortmund, led by Niko Kovac, 4-1 at the Etihad.
Phil Foden gave City the lead in the 22nd minute, and seven minutes later Erling Haaland scored for 2-0. Kovac’s team could have reduced the score in the 42nd minute, Adeyemi tried to shoot from close range, but Joško Guardiol was on time in the block.
Citizens came a step closer to victory in the 57th minute with a beautiful shot goal by Fodenhis second.
The German team managed to reduce in the 72nd minute over Waldemar Antonand the final 4-1 was made by Rayan Cherki in stoppage time.
Guardiol played the entire match for “Citizens”, while Mateo Kovačić did not compete due to injury.
With this victory, City moved to fourth place with 10 points, while Borussia is in 14th position with seven points.
