In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina last year, 36 transplants, which is most in the last ten years.
Namely, in the transplant centers in the Federation of BiH, twelve renal transplants have been implemented, one liver transplantation, one heart transplantation and eight corneal transplants.
According to the FBiH Ministry of Health, they especially point out that it is the first heart transplantation in the Federation of BiH, which is opened a new chapter in the development of transplant medicine in the Federation.
Also, over the past year in the Transplant Centers in the Federation, fourteen renal transplants from living donors was realized.
The most successful hospital
Zenica Cantonal Hospital remains the most successful Donorship hospital in the Federation, with five ports of the Doning Bodies of patients with the strenuous death, while the University Clinical Center Tuzla has notes one such consent.

Each consent of the family for donating the authorities of their closest can mean a new opportunity for patients waiting for transplantation. The joint engagement of all of us is needed – from healthcare professionals to citizens – to build a system that will be effective and human. The donation of the organ is not only a medical issue, the issue of life and solidarity of all of us – says Oliver Tadić, the Director of the Center for Transplant Medicine of the Federal Ministry of Health.

Continuous cooperation
The Federal Ministry of Health continuously cooperates with the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs on the Initiative for the Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina Eurotransplant.
