The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is already familiar with the preparations for the upcoming talks with the American side. This was announced to journalists by the president’s communications advisor Dmitro Litvin, according to UNN.
“Today, Umerov already informed the president about the preparations for meetings with the American side. The delegation is already on its way,” said Litvin.
According to him, Umerov is at the head of the delegation. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kiril Budanov, is also part of the delegation and participates in the negotiations.
On Friday, November 28, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on changes in the composition of the delegation for negotiations between Ukraine and the USA, according to which the Secretary of the Council for National Security and Defense Rustem Umerov was placed at the head of the delegation instead of the dismissed Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak.
The media previously reported that Ukrainian officials Rustem Umerov and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serhiy Kislitsya traveled to the US for further talks on the peace plan.
