Dr. Lejla Hadžikadić Gušić is the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Education at the Levine Cancer Institute in the United States of America.
The Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Sciences and Arts praised the great achievement of its member, emphasizing that this prestigious award is a confirmation of her long-term work, dedication to medical education and continuous investment in the development of new generations of doctors.
“Through her professional and academic engagement, Dr. Hadžikadić Gušić shows every day how important knowledge, mentoring and a human approach are in medicine. Her dedication to teaching and mentoring is particularly inspiring, which she sees as a way to acknowledge the mentors who shaped her professional path, but also to pass on her experience to future generations of health professionals. Her presence at the graduation ceremony of the class of 2026 at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where she and her family shared one of the most important moments of his professional and academic career”, they stated from BHAAAS.
