The seventh edition of one of the largest paraswimming competitions in this part of Europe will once again bring together the top names of regional and European paraswimming.
The audience in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina will have the opportunity to watch some of today’s best paraswimmers, among whom stand out the national team members of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the big favorites of the local audience, Ismail Barlov and Ismail Zulfić. Barlov comes to this year’s “Sarajevo Open” as the owner of medals from all three of the biggest competitions on the planet, the Paralympic Games, the World Championship and the European Championship.
Ismail Zulfić, owner of the European record, has been one of the most recognizable names in BiH for years. of paraswimming, and he confirmed his top form with the recently won medals at the World Series in Berlin.
The arrival of the Croatian national team member Dina Sinovčić, winner of medals from the Paralympic Games and numerous gold medals from the world and European championships, attracts special attention.
The organizer of the competition is Swimming Club SPID, and representatives of 17 clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Austria and Germany confirmed their participation at the meeting. In addition to the clubs, three national teams will participate in the competition.
In addition to the sports part, as part of the manifestation, a seminar for professional staff will be organized through the European project ParaSwimInclusion, in which experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro will participate.
The organizers have also prepared special content for the youngest, so a theater show for children will be performed during the meeting with the support of the organizations ISCOS Emilia Romagna and Otto PerMille Valdese.
This May, Sarajevo will also be the regional center of paraswimming, sports, inclusion and promotion of equal opportunities through sports.
