NK Široki Brijeg said goodbye to two players with posts on the official website. Ilya Chernyak and Nediljko Stjepanović left Pecara.
Belarus arrived in Široki Brijeg last summer, signing a contract until the summer of 2027, but according to the club’s announcement, the cooperation is over.
Chernyak said goodbye to the fans with the following words:
I would like to sincerely thank the club for the opportunity and the trust they have placed in me.
Special thanks I refer to mine teammates and the entire locker room for accepting me as one of their own from day one. Also, I want to say thank you town of Široki Brijeg and to all the people I met here. From the first day I felt welcome, and the hospitality and support I experienced will remain in my fond memories. I leave Široki Brijeg with good memories and experiences. I wish the club good luck and success in the future. Thanks and good luck, 24-year-old Chernyak, who played a total of 13 games in the blue-white jersey, scoring two goals and two assists, told the club’s website.
Nediljko Stjepanović arrived in Široka Brijeg in February this year, and the 22-year-old stopper played only four games.
I want to thank you for these six months which I will remember all my life. Although not much time has passed, I have gained valuable experience, memories and friendships. Thanks to the staff and all the people in and around the club. I wish the club good luck and success in the next season, said Stjepanović.
