The crisis in the Middle East will be at the top of the agenda on Tuesday when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will become the first foreign leader who will meet with the US President Donald Trump after Trump took over the White House in the second term.
Netanyahu arrived on Sunday visiting Washington.
– This is an important meeting that strengthens the deep alliance between Israel and the United States and will improve our cooperation – written by the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon on XU.
Relations between the two countries have been tightened in the last time due to the actions of the Israeli army in the Gaza belt and Lebanon, as well as the critique of the Trump Previous Joe Biden. Trump is less critical of the actions of the Israeli army than Biden.
The meeting of the two politicians also aims to prepare the next round of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas on the continuation of the truce in Gaza.
