Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić confirmed that Energoinvest remains the only authorized importer of gas, rejecting allegations of Abraham Group’s entry into that process.

This is not possible according to our regulations and laws in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina; of course yes they cannot be importers. They can be users, and we have also communicated this with the representatives of the administration who are in contact with the Federal Government in the preparation of documentation for the start of construction of the Southern Interconnection.said Nermin Nikšić.
Asked about the interstate agreement with Croatia and the possible blockade, he replied that there are no official inquiries or dilemmas from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He pointed out that The FBiH government is intensively dealing with amendments to the Law on Southern Interconnection and that an agreement was reached with the representatives of the Embassy on the further direction of development.
Since it is American gas, Nermin Nikšić considers it logical that their company undertakes the obligation of construction and delivery of gas through a concession contract, after which the Federation of BiH would continue management.
