Nenad Marković achieved exceptional success in Greek basketball and wrote a new page in the history of Panionios.
As announced by the Athens club, the 57-year-old expert from Bosnia and Herzegovina became the coach with the most games on the Panionios bench since the establishment of the Greek professional league in the 1992/1993 season.
In his previous work with Panionios, Marković managed a total of 68 games, thus surpassing the legendary Dušan Ivković on the club’s list.
“With 68 games on the Panionios bench, Nenad Marković became the club’s longest-serving coach in the era of the professional league,” announced the Greek club.
This is Marković’s third term on the Panionios bench, which he took over at the beginning of January at a time when the team was in a serious result crisis and was in last place in the championship table.
With the arrival of BH experts, the situation has changed significantly.
Panionios has registered four victories in the last five games and now has a real chance to win survival in the highest rank of Greek basketball.
