Czech Republic Transport Minister Martin Bath said that the railway lines were suspended in five out of 14 provinces in the country, including the capital of Prague.
Shortly after the first publication of the power failure, CEPS said the cause was the demolished transmission line. They added that the electricity supply was returned to most of the affected areas.

The underground railway in Prague was temporarily excluded from the function, but the lines A and C were re-operated within only 15 minutes, and the line B was returned to traffic within half an hour.
