The Brazilian police in the Federal State Sao Paulo saved a six-year-old girl who spent his whole life closed in a family house in the city of Sorocabi, published authorities.
The girl saved after anonymous alert, and members of the Municipal Council for Protection Children and the City Police were also participated in the action. The officials found her in a dark and dirty room in Jardim Santa Esmeralda neighborhood, where they were a bed, a pillow and a few toys.
A difficult condition
According to the information of the civilian police of the Federal State Sao Paulo, the girl never attended school nor was she vaccinated or treated. They fed her exclusively on the current food and did not learn to speak. The police stated that she didn’t eat anything on that day, and her hair was tangled and looked like she was never washed.
They also stated that they reacted to questions only by releasing incomprehensible sounds and gestures. After the review, doctors determined that the girl has an infection of urinary tract, blood infection and severe malnutrition. After inspecting in the hospital, it is located in the Children’s home.
Breach of rights
Lígia Guerra from the Chamber Council said that the girl was very withdrawn and confused and seemed to come out of the house for the first time.
– All her rights were violated. She never had contact with other children – she said.
Parents of the girl, a 45-year-old mother and an 54-year-old father, were also arrested in the criminal offense of unlawful deprivation of freedom, and could also face charges of abuse.
At the testing in the police station, they could not explain why the daughter was held closed.
– They didn’t understand the seriousness of the situation. The questions were mostly suitable with ‘I don’t know’, and they were also claimed to take her to the doctor and school, but they never did – said the Renata Zanin police inspector.
