French President Emmanuel Macron said Russia had no credibility for mediation in the conflict between Israel and Iran, proposed by US President Donald Trump.
Trump stated in the conversation for ABC News on Sunday that he was open to the possibility for Vladimir Putin to take the role between Israel and Iran. Macron clearly rejected such an idea, Hina transmits.
“I do not believe that Russia, which is currently involved in a high-intensity conflict, ignores the UN Charter, may be a mediator,” Macron said.
He also stressed that France did not participate in any of the Israeli attacks on Iran.
Macron visited Greenland Net before going to Canada at the G7 leader summit. Trump had previously threatened to take control of those rich and strategically important island, a Danish autonomous territory.
Macron warned that the island was exposed to “predatory ambition”, and said that his situation was a warning for all Europeans, although he expressed doubt that the United States would indeed invaded Greenland.
“Greenland is not for sale and cannot be taken,” he said, adding that he had previously talked to Trump and that the G7 will reopen the topic of Greenland. He said he still believes that the United States “remains committed to NATO and key historical alliances.”
According to the French Public Opinion Institute (IFOP), 77 percent of the French and 56 percent of Americans oppose Greenland American Annexes, and 43 percent of the French would support the French army to prevent the invasion of the island.
Prime Minister Danish Mette Frederixen stayed in Paris several times after Trump threats to request France and Europe support, and Copenhagen ordered French anti-air missile missiles.
