The sixth edition of the Ljubuški Outdoor Festival opened in Babovac with a sports and humanitarian program in which more than 500 competitors took part.
Sixth edition Ljubuški Outdoor Festival it was opened on Friday on the plateau of the stadium Babovac in Ljubuški, a sports and humanitarian program in which more than 500 competitors.
The program began with children’s races in which preschoolers performed on pushchairs and bicycles, after which elementary school students from the first to the ninth grade ran races on 100, 200, 400, 600 and 800 meters.
All participants of the children’s races were awarded with medals and appropriate gift packages.
The humanitarian race gathered more than 100 competitors
It was held in the evening humanitarian five-kilometer racewhich was also the final race Ljubuške racing league. More than took part in the race 100 competitors.
The winner of the race in the men’s competition was Ante Pokrajčićwhile she celebrated in the women’s competition Jelena Bobetic.
The overall winners of this year’s Ljubuška racing league are: Jure Dugandžić and Ivana Bosnićit was announced from LJOF.
Šimun Petar and Viktor marked a special moment
Thirteen-year-olds attracted special attention Šimun Petar Perasića boy on the autism spectrum and an award winner “Pride of Croatia”and his schoolmate Viktor Vukojevic.
During the race, Perasić pushed Viktor in a wheelchair along the entire five-kilometer track, which caused strong reactions from the participants and the audience.
The income collected from the humanitarian race is intended for Educational and rehabilitation center for children, young people and adults with developmental disabilities in Ljubuško.
Music program and continuation of the festival
After the sports program, the musical part of the festival was held. The band performed Secret signals from Ljubuški and the band Children from the basement.
The central program of the festival takes place today, when the memorial kayak race is scheduled “Professor Žarko Bilić” on the river Trebižat, half marathon “Two Waterfalls” at 21.1 kilometers, race “Ljubuška ten Scunasticus” at 10.4 kilometers and a football tournament 3×3 at the Kravica waterfall.
The evening program will conclude the concert Joleta in the waterfall parking lot A cowbeginning in 9:00 p.mand the entrance is free.
The organizers provided free bus transportation for visitors on the route Marko Marulić Primary School – Kravica waterfall.
