Lebanon has said nearly 2,300 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since March 2, the health ministry said on the first day of a ceasefire in the war between Hezbollah and Israel.
The ministry said a total of 2,294 people were killed in a preliminary count, including 274 women, 177 children and 100 health workers and rescuers.
It is added that the final balance will be published after the removal of the ruins, the finding of the victims, and the completion of DNA analyzes and identification of the victims.
