The Kremlin on Monday called Ukraine’s non-NATO status a “fundamental point” in talks to end the war, after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted some members of the alliance opposed his country’s entry into the bloc.
– This issue is one of the fundamental points and requires a separate discussion – spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, including AFP, during the daily briefing.
He added that Russia expects the United States to “deliver the concept that is being discussed in Berlin today,” while Zelensky held talks in the German capital with American envoys and European leaders in search of a solution.
