The football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina left today from the Sarajevo airport to Vienna, where tomorrow they will play the last match of the qualification for the World Cup against the selection of Austria.
BiH football players are traveling to the capital of Austria full of optimism after the triumph over the Romanian team in Zenica with a score of 3:1, which brought them a safe second position in the group and placement in the playoffs. However, the team selected by coach Sergej Barbarez will try to celebrate in Vienna against the favorites Austria, which would take over the leadership position and ensure direct placement in the World Cup.
After arriving in Vienna, the national team will have an official training session tonight, and the Austria-BiH match is scheduled for Tuesday at 20:45 at the “Ernst Happel” stadium.
The match will be refereed by the Portuguese João Pinheiro.
This will be the seventh duel between Austria and BiH. The Austrians celebrated twice, BiH once, and three meetings ended without a winner. In the last match between these two teams, Austria won 2:1 in Zenica in September.
