“It is difficult to know exactly when, but probably for more than ten years – and I’m sure it won’t be more than twenty – we’ll start building these huge gigious data centers in the universe,” Bezos said.
According to the Report of Reuters, the idea of space data centers is increasingly gaining large technological companies, because the demand for energy and water cooling on the Earth is constantly growing.
“These giant training clusters are better to build in space, because we have solar energy on a day, seven days a week. No rain – that means we will be able to significantly reduce the costs in the earth,” Bezos explained.
Data spaceships, as the Founder of Amazon, could become a key infrastructure of the future, especially given the exponential growth of artificial intelligence and cloud technologies that require increasing capacity.
