In the last match of the 16th round of the SuperSport HNL, Istria 1961 beat Osijek 5:1 at the Opus Arena and for the first time in history scored five goals in an away game in the HNL.
The team led by Oriol Riera is scored five away goals for the first time in HNL historywhile Osijek has already gone nine matches in all competitions without a win.
The hero of the match was the BiH striker Smail Prevljak who scored three goals for the guests in the first half, and then recorded assists for the fourth and fifth goals.
The visitors took the lead in the 17th minute. Stjepan Lončar “tricked” the ball to Prevljak who came out in front of Marko Malenica and hit the bottom right corner with a precise shot. The situation was reviewed for a possible hinterland, but everything was clear.
Ten minutes later Lončar once again put the 30-year-old striker to good use who entered the penalty area in a timely manner and scored under the hands of Malenica for 2-0.
