The Israeli Air Force has liquidated Asghar Bagheri, who since 2019 led the special operations unit of the Quds Force within the Revolutionary Guard, according to the IDF on Telegram.

The Quds Force is tasked with coordinating Iran’s allies and proxy groups in the Middle East, including Hezbollah and the Houthis.
The Israeli military claims that Bagheri held a number of high-ranking positions within the unit and that he was “involved in attacks targeting Israeli and American citizens around the world.”
They also say he was involved in attacks in Israel, Syria and Lebanon, including using operatives from Syria along the Israeli border.
This announcement comes after the Israeli army also claimed responsibility for the assassination of Revolutionary Guards intelligence chief Seyyed Majid Khademi earlier today.
