The authorities of Iran have confirmed that they have received a new American proposal related to ending the war, and the document is currently under consideration in Tehran.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Bagaei said Iran is still insisting on its key demands in the talks, including the unfreezing of Iranian assets abroad and the lifting of US restrictions on Iranian ports.
At the same time, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said that Tehran will not give in to pressure or accept, as he stated, “excessive demands” from the USA. He emphasized that Iran is ready to respond to possible new attacks and further strengthen its defense capabilities.
According to him, the US administration is still trying to achieve political and military goals through pressure and threats, but that Iran will not give up under what he claims is a policy of intimidation.
Meanwhile, the Revolutionary Guard warned that possible new attacks by Israel and the US could lead to the spread of the conflict to the entire region.
The new messages from Tehran come after the statements of US President Donald Trump, who announced the possibility of a major military response if negotiations with Iran do not produce an agreement acceptable to Washington.
