The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran denied the claims of US President Donald Trump about the existence of talks between Iran and the United States of America.
Earlier, the spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also rejected the latest statements of the American president, and now the comments of Esmail Baghaei for the India Today media have been reported.
– We clearly said yesterday that there are no talks or negotiations between Iran and the United States – he said.
– We had, I must say, a very disastrous experience with American diplomacy. We were attacked twice in a period of nine months, while we were in the middle of the negotiation process to resolve the nuclear issue. It was a betrayal of diplomacy – said Bahgaei.
US President Donald Trump said yesterday at the White House that the United States is conducting active negotiations with Iran, stressing that Tehran shows “a strong desire to reach an agreement.”
