Kurdish militants announced early this morning, a ceasefire with Turkey after the Historical Call of the Closed Leader of the PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, that the group is dissolved.
It was the first response of the PKK after Öcan this week referred to the dissolution of his Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and called them to lower their weapons after more than four decades of the fight against the Turkish state.
“In order to open the way to the realization of the call of the APOA leader and democratic society, we publish a ceasefire from today,” said the PCK Executive Board, which was reported by the Öcalan news agency.
“We agree with the content of the call you are and say that we will follow it and implement it,” the board added.
The PKK, which Turkey, the United States and the European Union marked the terrorist organization, leads the rebellion from 1984. with the aim of creating homeland for Kurds, which consist of about 20 percent of the 85 million people of Turkey.

After the last peace negotiations in 2015, there was no further contact until October, when the Ultranationalist ally of the president of Tayyip Erdoğan suddenly offered a peace gesture if Öcan rejects violence.
After several meetings with Öcalan in his jail on the island, the PRO-Kurdist Party of Dem conveyed his appeal to PKK to lower his weapons and summon the Congress to announce the disintegration of the organization.
