One of the most famous football coaches, Pep Guardiola, publicly expressed his support for Palestinian children last night in Barcelona.
At the charity concert Act x Palestine, Guardiola wore a Palestinian keffiyeh around his neck and spoke emotionally on stage about the suffering of children in Palestine who lost their parents in the conflicts.
“Salam aleikum. When I see children asking ‘where is my mother?’ among the ruins, it’s hard for me not to think that we left them alone,” Guardiola said, noting that the world’s biggest powers, in his opinion, are cowards for allowing innocent children to suffer while they enjoy the safety of their homes.

Guardiola stressed that it was a matter of basic human dignity and recalled his previous political stances, including support for the Palestinians and public gestures such as wearing a yellow armband for jailed Catalan leaders.
The Act x Palestine concert was held at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and brought together more than 30 performers from different musical genres.
The goal of the event was to raise funds and raise awareness of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the occupied territories.
In addition to the main performers, surprise guests appeared on stage, including Rosalía. Pep Guardiola’s emotional speech attracted the most attention.
After the concert, Guardiola returns to Manchester where he will lead Manchester City in the Premier League game against Tottenham on Sunday.
