Germany plans to establish the air bridge for the delivery of humanitarian aid in the Gaza belt with the support of Jordan, Monday, Chancellor Friedrich Merz said.
The operation should start “immediately,” he said after the Safety Cabinet meeting in Berlin.
The Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius will work closely with France and the United Kingdom, countries that expressed readiness to join efforts to transport food and assistance, said Merz.

The serious shortage of food and water in Gaza caused the UN agency warnings about “catastrophic hunger” and the risk of immediate hunger on the closed Palestinian territory.
Jordan served as a key center for the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gazi and delivered food to that territory of parachutes in the past two days.
