The German government spokesman said on Friday that Berlin currently no plans recognized the Palestinian State, as it would undermine all efforts to achieve the agreed decision on two countries with Israel.
– The agreed decision on the two countries remains our goal, even if it seems distant today. The recognition of Palestine will be more likely to come to the end of such a process and such decisions would now be quite counterproductive – a spokesperson said during the press conference.
Countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, France and Canada recently said to recognize the Palestinian State under different conditions, reuters.
