The penalty relates to qualification matches for the World Cup 2026. year against San Marina (6. September in Serravalle) and Austria (9th September in Bilina Polje).
For a visiting meeting against San Marina, FIFA said a fine of 34,500 francs (about 72,000 KM) due to the inappropriate behavior of fans – throwing items, the use of pyrotechnics and emphasis, which are considered unacceptable in sports events.
When it comes to the match against Austria in Zenica, the Alliance was penalized due to racist and discriminatory outbursts, as well as omissions in the field of safety and pyrotechnics control. FIFA has also recorded inappropriate gestures and messages in the stands.
Due to these offenses, NS BiH must pay additional 20,000 francs (about 42,000 KM) and implement a prevention plan with the aim of preventing similar incidents in the future, the FIFA official page.
We remind you, FIFA has already sanctioned FSBiH with 38,000 KM due to irregularities during the domestic match against San Marina.
